Fast rising Ghanaian dancehall artiste, J Derobie has said there would have been a higher rate in social vices if not for sports betting.
According to the ‘Poverty’ hitmaker, had it not been for the sports betting industry in Ghana, many young boys and men would have gone into armed robbery to survive.
Speaking on ClassFM on Friday September 27, 2019, J. Derobie, who is the face of one of the sports betting companies in Ghana said: “Betting is good, betting is good. It has helped most of the youth, it has pushed some of them from stealing and all that”, adding: “You know, if it weren’t for betting, some [young] people would be on the streets stealing and robbing”.
“So, the betting is good; that’s what I think”, he stressed.
Born Derrick Obobbie, the dancehall artiste was on the CD to promote his new song titled “Odo Bra”.
