Organisers of Highlife Party have unveiled Kurl Songx, Yaw Berk and legendary George Jara as artistes billed to perform at the maiden edition of the event.
Expected to be held at Gold Coast Hub, located at 32, 5th Avenue extension, Cantonments, the event, according to organisers, will see the aforementioned, other artistes as well as some bands, wow lovers of the arts to good highlife music.
The bands include: Brenya & The Crispy Nerd, Lipstick Band, Noble International Band, Legon Palmwine Band, Nativ Afrik Band, Nkyinkyim Band and Soul Groove Band.
“It’s all about live band performances… The platform offers bands the opportunity to work with artistes,” said Kweku Osei Korankye Asiedu of KOKA Music. “It’s free; everybody is invited.”
While mentioning that persons interested in attending the first edition scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019 will not be required to pay any fee, KOKA noted that subsequent editions which will be held every Thursday, will come with a fifty Ghana cedis fee.
“We want to create an environment where our artistes will not wait for festive shows. I encourage everyone to pass through. You’ll see seven different bands treating you to amazing music of Ghanaians origin…,” he said.
